I used my design research kit to identify if other people felt the same. ‘The Vape Escape’ incorporates diverse characters so that all players feel included and diversity facts so that players feel more informed. The story is modern and relatable and does not include the violence of other mystery games. My deck of cards is completely customised with characters and icons from the mystery game and 22 diversity facts. The brand presents a mood of calm and tranquility with a handcrafted touch. The logo I have created uses the typeface ocr-pbi which is a handcrafted stencil looking typeface that is still modern and minimalist. The ‘o’ in my logo has been distorted to create a pearl like shape which reflects the rarity of vintage clothes. The colour pallet I used for the project is a burnt orange, muted purple and cream. These colours create a sense of the tranquility of the brand and contrast against the often neutral colours of the brand’s products. Over the year I was able to create a cohesive social media campaign and visual language to promote the club to new members and promote events to existing members. Billy’s Bakery focuses on local ingredients and a modern Australian menu. They want to create a boutique, modern visual language that is still quintessentially outback Australian. The graphics have a focus on the Australian Gothic aesthetic using handcrafted lino-cut inspired icons and logo. Accompanying the rustic graphics are textural collages and vibrant nature photography. The branding aims to show an appreciation for the surrounding landscape. With over 100 shows performed the volunteer run company has a loyal fan base. CLOC’s audience is made up of theatre enthusiasts old and young, many have been attending CLOC shows for years. CLOC aims to support their talented team, provide high quality shows to their attendees and support the arts and the beliefs of their community. CLOC holds multiple shows a year which are run for only a short period of time. They perform at a more intimate stage, 700 seats, a lot smaller than their competitors and they always perform at the same venue, making it a part of their identity. The brand revitalisation needs to target new show attendees and encourage the current attendees to share their experiences so generations experience CLOC for years to come. The brand also needs to be understandable and conventional so that the older segment of the audience can navigate the brand.
